Mara Beukes

Mara Beukes is the Principal of Ambrosius Amutenya Primary School in Oranjemund, Namibia. Mara holds a B.A. from the University of Namibia (UNAM) and an honorary degree from Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. She has over 31 years of experience ranging from Primary to Tertiary levels as a teacher, tutor, and now principal since 2014. She is a visionary leader who is extremely passionate about education and is inspired by the motto…

Mike Lynch, Ed.M.

Executive Director of Educators of America.

As one of Educators of America’s founders; helping teachers and assisting students to achieve their full potential is central to his daily work. Mike graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. He earned his Master’s Degree in Education from the University at Buffalo. Mike currently resides in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and enjoys exploring the National Parks of the United States and other nations. Some of his favorites include Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and the Tsau //Khaeb National Park of Namibia.


Tyler Krempa

Teacher at CORAL Academies of Science, Nevada.

As a founding member of Educators of America, Tyler is passionate about education and making sure students and teachers have the resources they need to achieve full potential. His dedication and commitment to Special Education has brought him from New York State to Nevada. Tyler currently manages the Special Education department at CORAL Academy of Science in Henderson, Nevada. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Special Education from Buffalo State College.  Tyler enjoys exploring national parks, is an avid football fan, and loves animals.


Kirk Knestis, Ph.D.

Director of Research at Educators of America

Kirk Knestis is founding Principal of Evaluand, LLC, a Washington DC-based evaluation research firm specializing in the study of innovative policies and programs in education. He earned his Ph.D. in Education Policy and Evaluation at the University of Virginia and his Master in Teaching at Seattle University. Kirk has experience as a small business owner, STEM and career technology classroom teacher, higher education faculty member, and researcher affiliated with university and nonprofit agencies.


Brett Claydon, MA

Director of Business & International Development

Brett Claydon is the Director of Business & International Development of Educators of America. Prior to taking on the role of both Board Treasurer and Director of Business & International Development, he began his career as an assistant manager of small retail business and a digital marketing specialist at a web design and development firm. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), where he dedicated himself to being a Community Economic Development Volunteer with the US Peace Corps for two and a half years. Brett holds a Bachelor and Master’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
